Legend has it that someone persuaded an shampoo manufacturer to pay him a large sum of money for an idea which would double their turnover at no cost. He suggested they add the words "and repeat" after the instructions.

Here is an idea to halve the amount of shampoo polluting our planet. Replace the word "and" in the above with the word "don't".

I have always noticed the long list of bizarre chemicals in shampoo. Soft soap made with lithium base and fat should have dual use as shampoo.

Some people say that you don't need to use shampoo at all. I think the journalist (and former politician) Matthew Parris tried this and said that after a few weeks his hair became self-cleaning.

Is there a shampoo pollution problem? In any case, nice story.

I heard somewhere that repeating after you shampoo cleans better. The first wash gets out oils, and the second gets out dirt...or something like that. But if i'm just nuts and thats wrong, than nice idea

Mandate the use of biodegradable components for shampoo.

Good idea... but is there another approach that could convince shampoo companies to actually do this? Nice intro, though.
