ELECTRIC HYBRID | |||||||||||||||||
THE MAIN DRAWBACK IN A BATTERY DRIVEN CAR IS WHEN THEBATTERY GOES DEAD. WHAT DO YOU DO? RECHARGE BAYS ARENON-EXISTENT AT THE MOMENT. BATTERY BAYS WAS MOOTED BY MEBUT IT IS VERY FUTURISTIC. WHY NOT HAVE A TOTALLY GREENHYBRID WITHOUT THE USE OF FOSSIL FUEL? WHY NOT INCORPORATEA COMPRESSED AIR CYCLINDER IN A BATTERY DRIVEN CAR. THECAR SHOULD BE LIGHT WITH COMPOSITE MATERIALS AND SHOULD BE ABLETO SWITCH BETWEEN COMPRESSED AIR AND BATTERY POWER. BATTERYBAYS TO REPLACE YOUR DISCHARGED BATTERIES AND COMPRESSED AIRCYCLINDERS CAN BE REPLACED AT COMPRESSED AIR BAYS. THIS SHOULDBE THE MOST PREFERRED TRANSPORT MODE IN THE DAYS TO COME

So you could recharge your air cylinders with a bicycle pump? THINK AGAIN 007!
Not able to store much energy in compressed air.
Here's equations that say ten gallons at 135psi will move an 80KG car at most 200 meters at 100% efficient.

It is true, however, that UPS and FedEx are working with companies to store braking energy in hydraulic accumulators that compress nitrogen. But they just compress one-stop-at-a time. The vehicles still run on petroleum based fuel.

Yeh you Gentlemen, you still think like a toad under a coconut shell.Check out:

Wow, 30 Mpa/4500 psi.
I'm sure I'll have to look up the story about your 'toad under a coconut' witticism. Maybe I do. Interesting car. I wonder if 4500 psi will be a problem.
4500 psi would be no bigger problem than the rear gas tank on a Pinto . . . Heh, Heh, Heh
So, let's see. On March 22 Pepi presents an idea. Then on March 26 he tells us it already exists and blesses us with Indian words of wisdom.
What happened here? Did Pepi learn how to use Google?
What would be the advantage of using both electricity and compressed air in the same car? It would be simpler, cheaper and more efficient to use just one or the other. Having both an air motor and an electric motor is redundant.
