GOOSE NECK MONITOR | |||||||||||||||||
DID ANY ONE THINK OF A CAMCORDER WITH A ATTACHABLE GOOSE NECK MONITOR? YOU COULD BEND THE GOOSE NECK AT ANY ANGLE TO SHOOTDIFFICULT SHOTS. A TWO FEET GOOSE NECK WILL ALLOW A LOT OFFLEXIBILITY.

There have been submissions along this line. A cable extension on the monitor might be easier to manage and a wireless connection might be even more useful so that multiple monitors could pick up the input.
there is also a camcorder on the market which has the standard monitor and camera as one, but also a camera portion which acts wirelessly, made primarily for attatching to a sports helmet, or anything likewise, but it performs basically the same function, being able to have the display and lense seperate
When I first read this idea, I was thinking that you meant goose-neck lens. I think that would be good, too. My camcorder has a moniter that will pivot around to point, but we seldom use it.
I think trying to aim a camera at your family while you've propped it sitting on a log is a more challenging problem. Then you set the timer and jump up to get in the picture and bump it.
I can rememeber wedgeing rocks under it and leaves, trying to get exactly the right angle. I supposed I could carry a tripod, but on a hike or a city-vacation walk, that would be inconvenient.
These goose neck monitor should be a boon to wild life photographers/videographers who would like to shootbird nests/birds perched on trees
