Just a wall of LCD screens? Seems like wasted electricity to me.
the problem i see is that lcd screens only work like a lense, filtering color, so to see the color, they need a back light. this light could be dim, but then you would not get great color, and would be back to the original complaint, and if the light were sufficiently bright to make vibrant colors, the light emitted by every surface of the room would be quite intense. also, what happens when someone trips and hits the wall, or a kid writes on the wall, does the entire pannel for that wall have to be replaced? seems kind of expensive to do basic repairs.and what about hanging pictures, or a mirror, etc. you can't simply put a nail in the pannel. i think a better solution is to buy a quart of the color paint you want and try it before commiting to the whole room, yes it is a bit more expensive, but surely far more economical than gigantic lcd pannels
OH MY!! I can totally see this as a wave of the future! Incredible idea. Change your walls to fit your mood or occasion..holiday murals. Snowing or Raining effects. A ocean tide on one wall. A rain forest complete with sound effects. Mountains and streams with running water and birds chirping.
