How about a food/water additive that causes the poop to glow orange so we can find it easier! Food colouring maybe?

If it can be made bright enough perhaps we should encourage dog owners to leave it on the roadside to supplement street lighting.

You could try adding plastic sparkles to their food. Maybe it would be less unpleasant scooping the poop if it was prettier!

No question about the need. But fluorescence requires exposure to daylight or a special light (UV) so we'd be out there at night with our purple flashlight in one hand and a bag in the other. Non-toxic sparkles in the food might be a better idea if the only purpose is spotting Spot's potty spot.

Good thing about the fluorescent stuff vs sparkles is that we could shine that light on Fido's rear to determine if he had done his thing. My guys would call the SPCA if I gave them food that left their little hinies sparkling, but a soft violet glow at the base of the tail might be just thing to put them over the top with the ladies. I'll ask 'em and get right back to ya.
