the free solution to terror | |||||||||||||||||
i have very strong religious beliefs but i am gonna leave all theology out of this point, these ideas are strictly for policy, the governments of those nations and the clerics that run them are beyond reach, it seems like a dirty hustle, but the only answer to the worlds problem is to apply pressure on the governments via the people, and if necessary flame the fires of rebellion first the reason i see that we cant change the minds of those who hate us yet. 1. in this great age of communication it seems strange that we cant cut through the propaganda that keeps the subjects of these theocracies at bay, and loyal a. drop a bomb and gain an enemy for life, thats guaranteed,i know the US goes to tremendous lengths to keep collateral damage at a minimum, but if you kill any of my family that is not a soldier, it dos'nt matter the cause i will dedicate my life to killing you, anybody would agree......and our enemies ranks swell b. Americas charity is unmatched in all the world, this needs to exemplified c. America has problems with morality, but we are not "the great Satan"....this needs to be understood, 2. we cant assume that all these people are simply brainwashed and must concede that some if not most truly love the life of moral and spiritual strictness that they live under, we cant assume that the moral less, god less, although free nation we have become is all that appealing to some of those we wish to change. so we must meet somewhere in the middle democracy is good, and majority rule is natural it is either voluntary, or anarchy but capitalism is sometimes tyrannical...free market is good, but greed distorts it merits i believe that the more a person applies discipline to himself the less discipline must be applied by outside forces(bureaucracy) we must explain to the citizens (not the governments) of the opposing nations a few points 1. the dangers of theocracy a. the citizens always pay for the bad decisions of the state. b. it has always been the governments, not the people responsible for war , there is nothing really personal between Americans and Arabs...we would all love peace c. failing to apply proper pressure, to secure control of your own government, allows for the governments to act in self interest d. the leaders that send others on suicide missions in search of heaven...conveniently stay here on earth to reap the rewards. 2. Americas history especially that of separation of church and state and the legitimate purposes of this philosophy a. eliminating control of nation by agenda driven priesthoods b. the need of moral obligation to be placed under the control of each individual instead of enforced by state. c. Americas separation from Britain over this matter. 3. the imminent danger their leaders are putting them under a. the policy of Mutually Assured Destruction that their governments will be held to if they acquire nuclear weapons b. the understanding that the restraint shown by America will not be shown and is not required by other nations that they engage now or in the future, they should not take Americas kindness for weakness and should not let their leaders use this as propaganda for bragging or claiming success c. terrorists have a strategy of breaking down into "cells" to avoid being defeated easily, the reason being is that they understand that when attacking powerful nations like America, that if they form large organizations, the 'head' can be easily removed and the organization(body) would be destroyed, the citizens need to realize that under immense pressures an opposing nation would be inclined to punish the citizens to put local pressure back on the terrorists, America wont do this, but like i said other nations would not deal with such "kids gloves" as the US does D. the governments and citizens need to understand that terrorism also goes both ways, as does nuclear arms....the US is full of different groups and full of very capable and very crazy people, some much crazier and much more impressionable than the terrorist recruits , harm the wrong people, and they will see their interests under random attacks as well. A few more quick points…..we are not at war with the "muppet babies" here and underestimating our enemies resolve, intentions, or dedication would be suicide for right now we must have an equal stancethe idea of staying on offense is effective for the short term, the only long term solution is an exchange of ideas, the fuel of the terrorism machine is the endless cycle of revenge that is preached and exaggerated, the beauty of forgiveness is the only thing that breaks this cycle, the changing of the definition of martyr from a person that dies for his religion, to a person that dies in the act of killing for his religion was very very subtle and very very slick...this fallacy needs to be pointed out.. i think we should just drop leaflets making these points, with links to websites proving them....that would be nifty and cheap.alright ill quit now

Understood how? You are talking about countries without communications, 70% illiteracy and 30% unemployment!
2. even so, they don’t agree with you on many points: I have Muslin friends: they don’t democracy is good, that majorities should rule, that free market or capitalism is good, that women have equal rights, that every one should have universal education, they don’t believe in separation of church and state, civilian control of the military, independent branches of government, freedom of the press, right to free assembly, public control of the government,
We have a Voice of America radio station over there, guess what? It preaches what the people wanted to hear – the benefits of Islam!
