I have seen attempts to build aircraft that look like UFOs but I have not heard of any remarkable success in the area. Perhaps after we have puzzled out the nature of the Higgs boson something might be more successful.
It could be their mode of operation is environmentally invasive (more so than typical combustion engines), unfuellable with current fuels (or in competition with), or uncontrollable.
Or the aliens are looking at our state and not bothering.
I think if they can fly into our environment(since that has been proven), then we can do that too. What we need first, is to understand that flying is not just about gravity forces, is also "something else" we can figure it out with a lot of research; to do it is another story.
There are 4 forces to fly an airplane or helicopters in this planet: Traction, resistance, sustentation & gravity. In the space the story changes. But, what about the waived movements of little objects generated by the concussion produced by the sound of the music or any other source?Using the sound and increasing the voltage, would not that be a safer way to fly?It may sound weird but, I do think so.
Whatever forces are involved it is gravity which holds down objects to the Earth.Something must be used to oppose gravitational attraction to make something rise in flight. It is that simple. Normal aircraft use Newton's action reaction to toss down gas (air or rocket gases)to cause a vehicle to rise. Anti-gravitational forces may exist but they are, as yet, undiscovered.
look up "ion wind" on wikipedia. what if you scaled up the energy levels. Maybe the ion wind can counteract the force of gravity. Ions traveling from the top of the craft to the bottom making upward lift. Just a far out hypothesis of mine.

because some people dont even know how to put a sentance together properly

They might exist, nobody is telling if they do.

As all successful mechanisms demonstrate, flying is about gravity forces.
