Why pay for long term car parking at airports when someone could pay you for the use of your car if you left your vehicle with a car rental company. You return from 2 weeks holiday and get $100 rather than pay it, and get a nice clean car. Would work even better for expats who like to own a car for their infrequent visits home, but don't like the hassle of ownership, and finding somewhere to park it. A new car dealer should merge with an "on airport" car rental company, sell the car on the basis that it will generate income, when not needed, and take care of all the cleaning, service, insurance etc..

I have thought about this myself. Could work whenever you don't need your car for a period of time, not just when going abroad.

Good idea if people in the world were generally good. Except people who rent cars don't treat them as their own property and abuse them. I.E. flooring it at every green light, taking turns way to fast, or not slowing down enough for pot-holes/bumps/etc..

The worst used cares to buy are the used cares that were rental cars at one point.
