The idea-tracking system shouldn't notify a person about a comment on an idea he's tracking if he was the person who made the comment.

Alternatively, or in addition, the submit-an-idea entry form should have an option to e-mail it to the submitter. That way a user could build up a record of all his ideas and comments in a folder in his e-mail system.
Users should be able to choose from four options: send nothing, send both, and send one-or-the-other.
