Convince is crucial. Today we have a choice to add a car wash or request a receipt when paying for gas so why not simply add another option to purchase a drink/snack. The technology is already available and it would be convenient for customers as well as boost sales. The vending machine could be directly connected to the gas pump. This would save time walking to and from the actual store. High traffic times would be reduced if the customer didn’t have to walk in and there would only be ONE transaction! It would be as simple.

Actually, I think it's a good idea, but I save lots of money now that I never go into a gas station. Didn't need that stuff anyway.
Also, eating with smelly gas-hands is no fun.
Great idea. People spend a lot of time twiddling their thumbs at the pump. Way to point out a market that has not been touched.
