Record - live pause car radios | |||||||||||||||||
Don't you just hate it when you are driving along listening to a great program (science show, current affairs, concert) and you reach your destination and have to exit the car and stop listening just when it was getting really interesting? Why not develop a radio with a, "Record next 20mins" button. Then you could hit the button, exit the car and listen to the rest of the show when you next get back in the car. Works on my TV. Why not my car radio?

This would also be useful when addresses and web sites and telephone numbers are broadcast so they can be caught on the fly.
Your TV doesn't likely do that, you have a box you add to it, called a DVR.
In theory, a device that could do the same for a radio signal, but most stock automobile radios are not equipped for it.
The satellite radio services in the US/Canada have receivers that do that though.
