Mini SUV's | |||||||||||||||||
With crude almost touching the 150 USD mark, it is right time formini SUV's. A 1000 cc engine, a 4-wheel drive, a singleseater, two door SUV should appeal to the SUV lot. The Austin mini's and Coopers did prove their reliability andare still in demand. Why not a mini SUVs' which will giveyour the feel of a SUV and at the same time not burn a holeinto your pocket.

I envision an enclosed Quad-ATV. I do think that it would be fun and somewhat-efficient if done right. Not really efficient; I don't think SUV or Quad tires are very economical.
Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't appeal to the suburban-mom crowd, who are their real market. SUV's are just station-wagons that the Dad isn't embarrassed to drive on the weekend. They're big because we have these laws about car-seats that apply until kids are nine. Can't put three kids in a car any more--the carseats are too big.
Most SUV's never leave the pavement.
Most SUV,s don't leave the roads, you do not need a heavy full sizeSUV for a occasional fling on the dirt tracks. A mini SUV shouldbe able to mimic its bigger brothers on the dirt tracks.
