BATTERY STORAGE AREAS | |||||||||||||||||
WITH THE CURRENT ELECTRIC CARS, THE BATTERY LOCATION IS IN THE REAR..WHY NOT MODIFY BATTERY SIZE TO INCLUDE A FLAT PANEL BATTERY THAT COULD BE INSTALLED IN THE DOORS,THE ROOF, THE TRUNK DOOR..ETC ANY WHERE SUCH A FLAT PANEL BATTERY COULD BE INSTALLED.THIS WOULD ADD TO CAPACITY OF CURRENT BATTERY CAPACITY.IF, FOR ANY REASON, DAMAGE WAS DONE TO ANY PANEL, SINCE THESE PANELS WOULD BE CONNECTED, A DAMAGED PANEL WOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM. I KNOW THAT WE HAVE THIN BATTERIES AND SOLAR PANELS WHICH ARE THIN, ANY ADDITIONAL BATTERY CAPACITY WOULD BE A PLUS..SINCE THIS WOULD ADD ADDITIONAL WEIGHT TO THE CAR,THE CAR COULD BE CONSTRUCTED WITH ALLOYS LIKE JET AIRCRAFT. I WORKED AT AN AIRFORCE BASE AND KNOW THAT NEW ALLOYS ARE CONSTANTLY BE DEVISED.AND IMPROVED.

Saftey and connections, especially with high power wiring.
Making safe batteries that go into the doors would cost a lot to engineer and connect to the vehicle wiring, for the little of benefit the added capacity. For a bit more capacity, one could take a bit more cargo or passenger space.
That is an interesting idea, but what if there is wreck? Theoretically, the acid would play a harsh factor should be callously placed in a location that is known for being hit in a high amount of accidents. Also, with them being -flat- panel batteries, they would be more succeptable to breaking.
