hi, lets put solar and wind generaters on top of light poles, this would make them run for free and still work during a power outage,thanx greensleep

Nice idea but I doubt you could get enough solar or wind energy input to sustain the lighting. Especially in dark days when the light is needed.
by making solar walk lights bigger they could light streets or long driveways.
We would need to replace old lights and poles with new ,poles could have vertical turbines(see electric sailboats)solar on top and LED'S or ?.all low voltage.
