Car Air Ambiator | |||||||||||||||||
Is it possible to apply the principles of an Air Ambiator in a car.It would save the planet from the harmful effects of CFC's. It would consume less power and not tax your engine. It would pump inmore fresh air than a conventional a/c.

This is the first I've ever heard of an "ambiator," but I expect not the last. When I googled it, I only saw Indian companies working on it, so it makes sense that you'd know.
I understand that it is a two-stage evaporative cooler. Evaporative cooling such as a 'swamp cooler' works great on a moving vehicle, so I imagine a two-stage would be even better. They are, however, not so great on a stopped vehicle. I guess you'll have to have a big fan on the ambiator to cool when stopped or very humid.
Also, you'll need to fill-up with soft or distilled water pretty often if you're cooling alot. Still, you're right, no CFC's, no compressor. Probably lots cheaper.
The idea came to me, when I was thinking of a cooling system for theoccupant in the single door car. A cheap A/c which does notstrain the low powered engine. It will not work in a stopped car,a small air ambiator combined with a good air intake system shouldwork wonders in cooling the small cubic area inside the car.
The air ambiator will not be efficient in Highly damp conditions.
