1) There should be a user list. If I want to see if Ian Ayres has any new ideas, I shouldn't have to dig down to find an idea of his and then click on his name. There should be a list of every member of the website. 2) I can see the advantage allowing people to anonymously rate other people's ideas. I can also see the advantage of explicitly showing the list of people who like and dislike a certain idea. The website currently has the drawbacks of both. You can find out who likes and dislikes your ideas, after a few minutes of searching. 3) The whole point of halfbakery is to propose absurd ideas and rank on everybody else's stupid ideas. Since this site is meant to be more constructive, should it advertise that an idea is -5? Show the plus number of light bulbs, show none, and perhaps show a single burned out bulb. To show how negative an idea is seems to be contrary to the purpose of the book and the website. 4) You should be able to click on most recent and view every idea in the order it was submitted. You should also be able to click on top rated and see every idea, based on the order of their number of votes. 5) There should also be a most controversial category, which Carbonated Iced Tea would seem to be leading. In the case of food ideas, it seems to be wrong to rank them based on their total (for minus against) rating. Not everyone needs to like it for it be a success. If 80% hate it, and 10% love it, you have a great idea. It seems too many people vote based on personal preference, and not whether they think the idea may prove to be successful. The Starbucks concept would not have gotten a high total rating over here.

I agree with everything except #3.
Perhaps these should be separate ideas?
Some people are likely to agree with some of these and disagree with others - for example adamahill.
