Voice command cars would be good because you would not need to drive. There would be a sensor that can sence other vehicle coming and there would be software installd into the car that would make the car stop if needed.

Voice command of where you want to go, and a self driving car are separate things.
I'm pretty sure everything to make this happen is available right now. I just don't think any of it works all that well. And I'm not so sure most people want it, though it could save a great deal of cost paying truckdrivers.
I know voice-recognition software often thinks I said I want to speak in Spanish, and optical road-following routines have wrecked plenty of cars, even on closed tracks. My GPS often tells me to take an wrong exit seemingly inexplicably.
So anyway, it brings a new urgency to the need to avoid a software 'crash.'.
