Nothing too glaring, 1-2 small red light in front (somewhere) that only comes on when that car is braking.

Why?

Think about yourself sitting waiting to make your left turn. It would make life a lot easier to see if that Mack Truck is indeed braking or slowing at the light...and you can turn.

Think about your closest city (New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, Wherever).. you are walking and waiting to cross the light. The little "Walk" sign comes on.. you cross..right as the cabbie is trying to "Make the light" Whammo!! If you saw the frontal brake light (or lack thereof here) the accident might not have happened.

My idea will reduce accidents. It will enable you to see the drunk driver not braking.. the crazy driver not braking.. or at the minimum will serve as an extra safety barrier in our modern Road Rage Times.
