If you define "terrorists" as individuals/organizations that target innocent civilians and children for death or maiming (as opposed targeting soldiers or other military combatants) - the Middle East win hands down!!!

Its simple, Heinzchoi: Politics aside, when is the last time you the Americans (British or Israelis, for that matter) resorted to suicide bombers to fight their battles. The answer is NEVER!

The real terrorism is the weapons proliferation of small arms and explosives from "our" countries... these kill and maim millions per year, and create terrorism on the ground. This is american politics sponsored and stupid.

The drugs war is a proxy war of state terror against poor people... another american terrorist action.

Given the american meddling in lebannon that resulted in a long and ugly civil war, and american meddling in iran that overthrew a democracy for a less appealing model... and so on... it seems indeed america's government is really the worst terrorist.

And given the statistics of civilians killed by national action in the past year, america is number 1 for war murders...

One poster denies that america uses suicide bombers, yet is dropping a 2000 pound bomb from 30,000 feet any less vile... the ethics are no different, just american's have made smart weapons without human guidance. A suicide bomber is a poor country's guidance computer... and part of civil war against evil government. That american supports the israeli apartheid solution speaks not so well either.

Today's america then might stack up as the worlds current worst state terrorists sponsoring nations the world over in extrajudicial killings and incarcerating political opponents in non-territory like gitmo. The neocon's are the criminals in this, not america. They are the real terrorists, and no national borders contain their malice.

If I read history correctly, there were wars before the USA was born. We may have a prbolem with human nature.
