Cellphone Pocket | |||||||||||||||||
Most blue jeans have a small extra pocket inside the right front pocket that is called a "coin pocket." I never use mine and I suspect most people don't. I noticed that my coin pockets are a little too small for my cellphone to fit. Why not have the manufactures make the coin pocket a little bigger so we can use them as a cellphone pocket?

I've always thought that that extra pocket is was originally intended as a watch-pocket when people used pocket watches. ?? Obviously it's outdated--maybe it would be better as a phone pocket, if a little longer.
I think the re-introduction of '501' 'original' jeans was what brought the pocket back--it was gone in the early 70's.
Definitely! All pants should have a cell phone pocket. I hate cell phone cases and I'm tired of looking for cargo pants I like. ;-)
Most jeans already have 4 pockets on them that can fit a cell. Why would you need a fifth?
In answer to clean comic, I Do carry my cell in one pocket, but I also carry a big wad of keys, my swiss-army pocketknife, a mini LED flashlight, a tape measure, a flash drive, change, a comb and a wallet. I've learned the hard way that only the cell goes in the left pocket--my flashlight broke the touch screen and it cost $$$.
Yes, I'm a major nerd, I know.
If the cell's pocket were more cell-shaped and above my 'bend line' like the old watch pocket was, I could access it while seated (eg driving, too) more easily. This is probably the reason some people use a cell holster.
