I'm still looking for that person that's walking around handing out money.

Truely, though, I've started a company with the intent to bring some of my own ideas to fruition and I think it'll be more rewarding to have my name on the product and the money in my own bank account.

A venture capitalist may get you off the ground, but they get your thunder and most of the money too.

Unfortunately, I'm too lazy to actually design them now.

I did disagree on this, but i changed my mind. And changed my vote.

I agree, there is four things needed for a item to be profitable. Four partys needed and then pure luck.

The equaly important parts is.

1. A good idea with patent pending

2. An entreprenur that sees the good in that idea.

3. Money to make the wheels stop squeak.

4. A trustable lawyer for all paties involved.

This site handles number 1.

Sometimes idiots (like Swedish government) give you money IF you are an inventor, are a good sence of business, and can get a loan.

Well, i think its very seldom the case that people has all three parts. So a website that is like this, helping out the guy with money, the guy with the idea, the guy who can "make something of it" and the lawyer who can tell what to do and what not.

Hello,can you patent an idea??or a concept?,me I'm into tangible concept and start with a simple function of what the purpose of the product then start evolving from it,you will learn along the way ways around about this time I should be able to come up with a lot of ways to design it.I expose the weak design so if somebody decides to "steal" it he'll just have to product test it for me then I'll just compete with him on the design that I have
