Would like to see a small, portable mute button for my satellite receiver. When I'm near the remote I can hit "mute" to silence the annoying commercials. However, when I'm moving around the room/house it's not practical to carry the remote with me. The audio on my system goes through the satellit receiver so the available TV mute solutions don't work. Seems like a small thing but I (for one) would be willing to pay a premium to shut down all the annoying crap that passes for advertising while I'm moving around.

they make universal remotes with mute - the size of a lighter. does that work?

To myparadigm. I know the ones you mean but I've only found the ones that mute the TV speakers. I have my system setup with those speakers off and my surround system running through a receiver. I have ordered a cheap pair of normal sized programable remotes that I'm going to attempt to work with my receiver and leave them in strategic places.
