Auto Alarm Wrist Watch | |||||||||||||||||
Since just about everyone these days wears a watch, wouldn't it be great to have your current auto alarm programed to your wrist watch, the watch would be a generic fob that could be programed to your auto alarm system, it would have the four basis button options, Auto Lock, Auto Un-Lock, Truck Open and the red Panic button, these buttons would be on the 2 sides of the watch with the middle of the watch having the time and date.

It would have to be a rather big watch, to account for the battery needed for the fob, and the RF circuitry for the wavelength typically used on car remotes (the 350-450 Mhz range).
I have already done the research on this and the battery would be the same size as the kind you use in the watch, so it would not be a big watch, I just want to see what people think, this project is in process already.
i like the idea of integrating these two devices, but i think the more important feature is the watch receiving a signal from the alarm. I know personally when i hear a car alarm going off outside the store i'm in, i never even bother to look, because everyone has alarms, and they are going off constantly. it would be nice to be alerted when it is your alarm going off, and not somebody else's, that way you can go cancel the alarm so it doesnt kill your battery, also, you can check your car just in case the theif was actually persistant enough to keep working on the car after the alarm went off and drew attention to him.
More realistic would be a a text message or call to your cell phone. Onstar probably already offers this...
