Hotel and Traveler Web 2.0 | |||||||||||||||||
Wouldn't it be great if there was a social networking site for Hotels and Travelers to interact with each other, hotels can send travelers information on up coming promotions and travelers can write reviews on the hotels they have stayed at and can also chat live with the hotel and book rooms, flights, car rentals, as well as receive a discount from hotel members of 10% - 25% off their next hotel stay.

It's funny that you say "social network" and then say for hotels and travelers. I don't see that as a 'social' situation. Initially, I thought you meant for people in the same hotel to meet to play chess or watch a movie or something. Which does seem like a good idea to me---sort of. I'm not one to hang-out in the bar to meet people.
It seems to me that hotels already have lots of avenues to communicate deals and specials to travelers through Priceline, Orbitz, Expedia, etc. and if you want to write a review, again, those same site do that.
Also, to chat live with a hotel person, I think the phone still works.
So I guess I don't really understand what you expect this 2.0 to do that is new.
The site is called hotellounger.com it's in development nothing like expedia and tripadvisor or all the others, remember the hotel industry does not have a social network like myspace or facebook those others are nothing like what we have created.
social networking sites like myspace and facebook are blocked by my many employers including mine--I suspect you'd like your customers to be able to use these booking sites from their work-computer.
Probably you'll need to disassociate yourself from the teen-mp3-goofing off sites somehow.
