million dollar trials, wrongful imprisonment, and the guilty go free. the solution is so so simple, I dont know why it hasnt been done yet. I've read that computerized polygraphs are very accurate, factor in some redundancy and I wouldnt doubt they'd be foolproof. most trials would last maybe 30-60 minutes, probably cost less than 1000$, and accuracy of conviction skyrocket.

Lie detectors have been proven inaccurate time after time. Trust in them is totally misplaced.
Lie detectors don't rely on the machine, they rely on the person operating the machine thus leaving room for error. They are not accurate.
such narrow mindedness. i couldnt find the article on computerized polygraphs, i read it a long time ago. but here is something else i found after 5 minutes on google.
