A website whose sole purpose is to compare, head-to-head, advertisements from two companies in the same industry on a daily basis. Users can choose what industries interest them and view two half page ads side by side and vote on which one is more effective followed by their opinions and how they think the ad can be made better. Users will be incentivized by weekly industry specific prizes, subsidized from the ad revenue. Additionally, the advertising companies will be given the vote data and ad impressions at the end of the day.

actually, for incentivization, would it make more sense to actually pay the best or a handful of the top reviews (should NOT be another repeat of alladvantage.com) from the ad revenue?
As someone who has been subject to spurious advertising for many decades I regard the ads as a necessary infernal nuisance to accompany real information but am in no way fascinated by the feature. I certainly am not interested in encouraging the industry to further clog up my perusal of information sources.
I have been wondering the same. But , the main point here, would be , as how to get traffic to the website. What do you think?
As a recent marketing grad, I've come across these before. I even have a textbook doing the very same thing called "Which Ad Pulled The Best", where the term 'pull' is a technical term for performing, as far as ads go. I conditionally agree with this concept, on the basis that it would require several strict guidelines, some of which are more manageable than others. The main stumbling block with this would be in gaging a user's objectivity in deciding. For example, in a Coke vs. Pepsi ad, the user may already be a loyal Pepsi drinker, suggesting they would already be inclined to favour the Pepsi ad, however unconscious it may be. This is why many times advertising agencies and their clients will employ focus groups that are face-to-face, so this objectivity can be ensured to a reasonable measure. With that in mind though, if you could get around that, e-judging would be a marvelous idea.
