LoWiNo

Imagine streaming a video from Hawaii to New York.. without even connecting to Internet Service Provider.

All done by a series wireless home user nodes. Connected by a open source software.

Every home user's router will become a gateway/Pc will be come gateway.

1.Downloading the wifi-proxy-node to listen to a particular port eg port 65551.

2.User have to manually configure his router to relay all incoming connection to a particular port - for the wifi-proxy-node (WPN)

3.User will proxy on the WPN for own purposes with 90% of BB connection, while 10% of the node will be free for open connectivity.

All incoming connection to port 1000

Owner proxy on port 2000

Public proxy on port 3000

This ideas will be more feasible with the fact that our internet connection speed are moving to the giga bytes speed.

Each homeuser contributing 10% of their 1 gigabyte will be akin to contributing 100MB to public usage.

Where by they can stream to another local node.. much faster..

rather than going from ( homeUserA ---> ISP ---> homeUserB )

rather going directly... ( HomeUserA.....C...D....H... homeUSerB )which is definately more faster...through multiple nodes... locally...

benefits..it reduces the bandwidth burden on the ISP

it promotes faster connection because off lower client bandwidth usage

it quicken local bandwidth access...especially on a shorter geographical range...

it is a more efficient bandwidth utilization

HAVing said all that... all Internet Service Providers//Goverments/UnitedNations should support the idea... because it maximize bandwidth usage.. and sharing... and promotes efficient use of IT resources through consolidation and cooperation

on the client-side.. it would sent a registration signal to the isp to validate.. that this user is..sharing 10% of his connection.

In such... that 10+10%(additional 10% gov incentive) will be a reduction on his/her next Broadband connection Billing Payment.

Home user nodes across the ocean? I can't even get WiFi where I live out here in the country.

You'd bottleneck through rural nodes and cost that person way-more resources than other people in the game.

Yes this has potential and I'm not against it, but, I think internet on wires can be much more energy efficient than dumping energy into space with radios.
