Political Corruption is best described as the Opposite of Ethics.

Corporations task themselves to make a profit at anyone else' cost.

The Federal Government should develop an Ethics template that must legally be required to be part of EVERY corporation's bylaws. Currently, the gross Violation of Corporate Bylaws can cause any Corporation to be dissolved. The Federal Ethics template would be the conscience of every corporation.

Ethical Evaluation is a well researched and developed set of tools that anyone can use. But EVERY Corporation should be REQUIRED to DOCUMENT every major decision it makes to show that ETHICAL consideration was involved.

Corporations regularly attack and liquidate small businesses to eliminate the competition. The people employed by these small businesses are displaced from their livelihood.

Corporations presently have NO REGARD for the quality of people's lives. The edict of every corporation is to make as much money as possible at the expense of everyone else.

EVERY Corporation should be required to BOTH document ethical consideration regarding EVERY major decision, and should be REQUIRED to have a Federal Ethics Template as part of their Bylaws.

In this way Corporations can not lobby our Representatives without having the people's interests as part of their efforts.

Corporations that die if they operate unethically. I like it.

Although the concept is worthwhile the money remains in the hands of the corporations and in all probability, viewed cynically, the regulations would enrich a good many lawyers.

More government and more laws aren't going to make people behave 'good.' You'll just create another bureaucracy with more rules to saddle businesses with to make the US less competitive. You say "corporation" like it's an evil in itself, but they're just made up of people.

Profit is the reason for any business, and to make it requires a recipe of good product and good image. If you company knowingly has bad 'ethics', then some people won't buy from you.

For instance GE has outsourced millions of American jobs. Many people are against Walmart.

"Ethics" by definition is just the rules by which to interact in a group. Not that I'm a fan of moral relativism, but you and I both know that the definition of 'good' isn't equal for a person your church vs. a kid in an African deathsquad. Or for your Grandpa in WWII. "Good" is what allows you to survive. Right and wrong are judgements.

I've worked for lots of companies that got 'attacked', shut-down and even for companies that shut down our competitors--it turns out that Corporations DO care about how people feel. More often I was released with significant severance and it turned out fine. I continued in the same livlihood, just for another company. But as more regulations fall from on-high, there won't be any business left in this country. SOX for instance.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarbanes-Oxley_Act

We now spend hundreds of hours for this useless crap. For that matter, every decision business make is already "documented" in hundreds of emails, policies, etc.

Junk, I know you mean well with this and I expect you have a specific beef. I wonder if you'll tell us more about that.

Former President Bush sanctioned Vice President Cheney's mis-appropriation of more than $12 billion dollars to his corporation Halliburton; who subsequently moved corporate offices involving that money to Dubai. No accountability.

GE merged with Honeywell to control greater than 95% of the jet engines manufactured in the world. Where are the anti-trust laws?

There are almost 10,000 medical insurance corporations that limit and regulate medical care, and pay extensive benefits for administrative wages. Pharmaceutical companies that charge hundreds of dollars in the US for the same medications they charge a few dollars for overseas.

Violence is promoted on television for profit, on one commercial for example a father steals from his family and his kids laugh about it.

Court systems in New York refuse to hear any case a landlord presents against a tenant.

Court systems consistantly add complexity and costs for anyone to recover damages from persons that intentionally commit fraud. The courts refuse to summon a criminal in hiding unless it benefits the court.

Attorneys (as corporations) consistently construct the court systems so that an attorney and expensive court costs are required to successfully reach any fair outcome. As an example, it costs over $300 to evict someone who doesn't pay their rent and won't evict them for two months. And in New York City, not at all.

Mineral Rights were created to steal the minerals from under people who purchased the land. Coal companies destroy the water table and people loose their water and wells because of coal mines, and they are not held responsible. Protected by the court systems for their unethical actions.

Churches are given corporate protection and are allowed to commit fraud and spam to elicit peoples funds for fraudulent claims.

Corporations claim to be charities to help the underpriveledged and persecuted where over 90% of collections go to administrative personnel.

I don't have one beef; our system is filled with examples.
