My idea is to have a nice restaurant where people would have to make a reservation for dinner and childcare. The couple could dine child free while the kids eat separately in a "kid styled restaurant/playroom" where children will be supervised by trained child care providers. The children could be taught table manners and/or they could have supervised playtime. An added benefit for new parents would include a baby room that has some sort of webcam that the parents can view from a device to check on their baby without having to interrupt their dinner.

I wouldn't trust strangers with my kids. I like my kids and I like to eat with them.
If you want a date-night, hire a babysitter.
LOVE THIS IDEA!!!! I've heard of this scenario in some European countries. It's a great chance for a couple to spend some time by themselves. No family yet, but from what I understand, it's easy to put all your attention on the kids, and couples have to be intentional about quality time together.
I have been thinking about this idea for a long time!!! When we had young kids and couldn't find a babysitter, we would have loved to have this option. Most restaurants don't have space though, for a childcare center, nor want to hassle with all the regulations. It works in the health club setting, why not for restaurants? If you could have it in a central downtown location, parents could go to one of many restaurants and use your service.
