Why not have a TV with a detachable remote head justlike the one in your car stereo. You could use theremote head sitting on your sofa or in your bed - itwould double into a remote with all the added features.It will prevent thiefs people from stealing your plasma tv.The detachable heads from the car stereos did detera a lot of car stereo thiefs.

The remote head can have 2-3 small lcd displays to keep a tab on hisother favourite channels. The guy who weilds the remote head cansee what is happening on the other channels without disturbing theother viewers.

Removable faceplates on car stereos discourage thieves because the owner can take the faceplate with him when he leaves the car. For this to work on your TV, you would have to take the remote head with you when you leave your home. I don't think I would want to tote my TV remote everywhere I go. What if I accidently leave it somewhere or break it? There are more convenient ways to discourage TV thieves. How about a built-in GPS tracking device?
