Auto Home Window Tinter | |||||||||||||||||
Hey, if my glasses can tint when the sun gleams down on them, why not have the windows in the house do the same? That way you dont get a glare smacking you in the face, and you dont have to go around trying to shut the blinds either. In fact, why not have Car windows do the same as well? I mean, when the sun blinds off of another car, it would be cool to see my driver window, or front window tint itself to cope with the glare until it passes.

I think passive solar is a better idea. This idea wastes the heat input that you get from sun entering.
Passive solar designs the house with awnings or overhangs that shade the windows in summer (when the sun is at a higher angle) and allow the sun to enter in the winter.
If you still don't want the light from the sun getting into the house even in winter, you can use dark curtains inside so that the heat will enter but the light will be blocked. The heat will radiate from the curtains
