This may sound really crazy, but i was playing with the idea that maybe we could fight Hurricanes with Flour. I mean, when a Hurricane is on its way, and we know its gonna hit land, then it may be possible to send out multipule C-150s to dump large amounts of just pure flour onto a leading section of the hurricane. By pouring from above, it would enter the rain soaked clouds, clump together, and fall like mushy small balls into the ocean for fish to eat. The idea is that by killing sections of the swirling clouds, you could theoretically destabolize the hurricane long enough to where it may fall part on its own without proper form, and down size itself back into a Tropical Depression.

I think it's a question of quantity. if you figure one pound of flour for every gallon of water--you'll see that you could never have enough flour.
I do think an A-bomb has been discussed as a way to dissipate a huricane quickly.
True, but try with only half per gallon of water. It doesnt need to completely be gone, just enough to not effect the rest of the hurricane coming behind it.
The hurricane is much stronger that you think, as it hurls water with no problems -- adding a power to a force that is hundreds of times stronger than nuclear bombs is not going to have an affect.
I agree with you, it sounds crazy. Better use the flour to feed hungry people somewhere.
