Mobile cellphone charger | |||||||||||||||||
Why not to built cell phone charger inside the mobile itself. This would eliminate the need for carrying chargers everywhere. If you want to charge your cell just tookout or slide 2 pins out of your phone and plug in any of the available power point.

it would essentially double the size of the phone for a 120 VAC charger. This might be a viable idea using USB or a car as a charger, but you'll still need a cord.
Not necessarily the double the size of the phone. These days look at the chargers they very compact form factor. The only major thing is the transformer. There are circuits which replaces the bulky transformer. and we need to have very good mechanical strength and asthetics which is possible these days.
I too have the wish to minimalize the number of chargers. Competely nuts and bad for the world... In Europe I heard there has been taken a measure that producers have to standardize on one type of charger (rg 12v, with a standardized connector, etc.).We don't think it is a good idea to put a transformator in each cell phone. Instead, in addition to standardizing specs (like in Europe):
1. Create a 'powerbank' on which you can put your cell phone. With using 'induction' (the same principle which is used in transformators / loaders) it gets loaded. This removing the annoying wires as well. This is an implementation of a thing we called 'wireless energy' (gulabeled WiGy).2. Make it a standard that within homes, buildings, railways, cafes, etc. a secondary power network is implemeted of eg 12V. Thus, you need only on charger (transformator / voltage converter) per 'end node' in the electrity network. Advantage: lots of transformators aren't required anymore, this not only goes for 'portable' transformators, but it goes as well for tv's, monitors, stereo's, computers, all kinds of electric equipment. Imagine... Note: the reason why the electricy company does not deliver 12V is that it is not efficient to transport such a low voltage over long distances, but within a house...A SpiriLogic idea, i didn't make this up, regards Iwanjka
