What is the Unspoken Truth | |||||||||||||||||
What is the unspoken truth. The unspoken truth is simply Christianity. We are not allowed to speak about our beliefs in public places, because it simply might bother those around us. We as Christians do not want to impose are beliefs onto the world. That is not what we want to do we just want our voices to be heard. We are not even allowed to say merry Christmas, because it might upset someone. Does that not impose on our freedom of speech, and the freedom of religion. I would like to know what America has to say about this.

I'm afraid we're off on the deep end here.
Why, is what I said a lie.
dhiggins, I can see how you might feel uneasy talking about your faith in a regular public setting and I agree that people will automatically oppose you if you're a Christian. I think it stems from an opinion of many atheiest that is more akin to anti-theism.
Ironically, Americans can talk about 'karma' and do yoga and no-one associates it with religion.
We are a secular society, so I agree that prosthelytizing in public is to be discouraged--I don't want anybody trying to convert me, so I'll follow the golden rule and do the same. But historically, Christians have had requirements to spread the faith. I'm pretty sure it's required in the Bible, though I couldn't find it just now. But think of all of the missionaries we've used.So over the centuries, the other faiths have become pretty annoyed with us Christians.
But Christians are easier about it than others. Apparently the Koran says Muslims have to kill a non-muslims if they've tried three times to convert him unsuccessfully.
So you're partially right--people will oppose you, but you do still have freedom of speech. If you don't mind rotton tomotoes.
I've seen people say "Merry Christmas" countless times in public places, even on TV. I've also seen christians talk about their beliefs in public places, including TV. There are entire TV shows devoted to it. I've had total strangers knock on my door and ask me if I would be willing to let them coming in and talk to me about Jesus. You yourself are talking about your christian beliefs here in this post, yet the religion police aren't going to be kicking in your door over it. So I think your belief that christians are being supressed is not really accurate.
Hello, "Religion" is a devotion however you devote yourself to God is bless. It's like your fingers they are different but belongs to one hand but when they work together they can accomplish something depends on what your in a mood.

Many say the same thing, but at the same time we have a bunch of people trying to "convert" us in buying all kinds of things every day. We don't like it too, but there is no such big deal about it in the world. The question is why?Christians are not trying to convert you for the money or to gain something for themselves, they do this for your benefit instead, and for glory of God. If you would not believe in God you would not be bothered at all by Christians; you would ignore everything they say and that's all. Instead it bothers you a lot because you feel guilty every time you hear a Christian speaking. You know God exists and you also know that He will hold you accountable. That guilty feeling makes you hate Christians so much that you just go against them every time you encounter them.
