transformer car | |||||||||||||||||
I had this design 4 years ago, this design allow a car transform itself to a truck. Just like the movie TRANSFORMER, in the movie the car transformer itself to a robot and back. Mine just transform the even small car to a truck so it has double cargo capacity. This allow you to carry big item like a full size refrigerator and still carry 4 passengers. All the transform action is activate by a wireless remote .Basically, I want a car and a truck for the price of one. One can convert an existing car to become transformer car or build from new. Obviously, This design only for auto manufacturer can produce such of car. Potential can be huge success for who ever get the design. This design allow simpler to process and build. It's easy as a convertible hardtop design such as mercesdes SLK, Chrysler Sebring , Lexus.... Second design Transform any SUV to a PK truck Third design is for truck, a quadcab shortbed truck can transform itself to a SUV 7passengers, transform again to a quadcab longbed. My design will simplify the process to produce such a car at lower cost too.

Without seeing the design, there is no way for anyone to evaluate it.
A 'truck' isn't just skin deep. The frame, the axle and running gear, the engine, the brakes--if you have a 'real' truck, you'll be carrying around 5,000+ lbs of heavy metal all of the time, no matter how compact it is.
Sort of like those 'crossover' SUV's that are only four seats but have a truck running gear-- Infiniti FX-50, Ford Edge, others. This way you get all of the disadvantages of a truck (mpg, expensive tires, noisy and large) with none of the advantages-hauling, towing, six seats, camping etc.
But you can make a light-truck that has a big interior and I'm pretty sure Chevy has one that only has a part-time back seat that can be folded into the bed to extend it to a larger bed. But still, to have a 'truck' you need truck mechanicals.
but aside from the negative remarks above, I do see your point. For years I had no truck, but drove a Mustang convertible. I would show up a the lumber yard to buy plywood and the first thing I would buy was two 12-foot 2x6's to span from the near-side of the trunk cowl to rest on the dash board. Then I could buy a number of 4x8 sheets with no problem.
But it had to be warm enough to drive with the top down and if anyone ever would've hit me from behind I would've been decapitated.
Wish I could see what you have in mind, too.
