Driver's test every 10 years | |||||||||||||||||
You have to renew your license anyway. Why not get more unsuitable drivers off the road, or imporve the skills of the average driver? Also why not have the score on the driving test included on the license, and have a higher score mean savings on insurance?

1. This would be a pain for everybody.2. I'd have to drive grandma to church. She never goes on the highway and only starts her car twice a week to drive six blocks to the grocery store and church, so I don't know why she can't continue to drive and self-limit her driving. Yes, she's no Mario Andretti, but she still derives independence and importance from being able to drive. 3. Insurance is rated by how much you cost them. I may be a great driver but if I go 100K miles in a year, I might still statistically have a higher rick of accidents. Let the actuaries figure out how to charge for insurance, let's not tell them how to run their businesses.
