Taxation without representation was one of the main reasons in which our founding fathers brought a revolution against the British Empire.

Today I feel that for the past 60 years, our government has not properly represented the people. Especially the last 8 years of the Bush Administration the average American Citizen was not properly represented by the government.

But we kept paying our taxes. The more taxes we paid, the less they represented us.

We should form a movement in our country that if the government does not represent us properly. If the government continues it's abuses against it's people such as the IRS and it's abuses which they cover up. Other abuses such as police brutality or the police abusing their powers. If these abuses keep going on, then we as citizens should stop paying our taxes.

If you go to a restaurant and the wait staff treat you like crap, don't you just get up and leave without paying? I think it should be the same. You don't like to pay for crappy service when you go out to the mall or to a restaurant. Shouldn't we not pay if we get crappy service from the government?

That's why they withhold the taxes from your pay before you even see it.
