I agree. Of course, someone will get on here and point out that car thieves will learn to disable them. However, many car thieves are just kids stealing them to joy ride. It would also be possible to have the GPS built in to the engine computer. It would be very tricky to disable it without disabling the engine. Sure, someone will figure out how to do it, but most thieves aren't all that sophisticated. It won't stop all of them, but if it stops most, then it's worthwhile. Also, you will still be able to find your car in other situations, like when you forget where you parked.
This is the LAST feature that cars need to have added to them... a means for the government to electronically track and mine data on anyone's travel at any time they please... not what I call a brilliant idea.

I think GM already does on some of their cars with their On Star system.
