Why not create a locater button for the remote like what cordless house phones use. Think of the practicality! If you are messing, or sometimes just plain stoned and misplace the darn sucker, why not push a button on your tv that wil locate your remote? Genius! The television companies could simply invent a button that will work on what im assuming would have to be some sort of satellite system that will correlate with any universal remote, or the remote that comes with the tv. . . . Aaaauuuuugghhh?

What probably would be a lot easier to use and simpler to fabricate would be a beeper on the remote with a flashing LED that could be activated by a button on the TV. No need to get complicated with satellite systems.
Good idea but i agree with Sand
Nothing needs invented, the technology well exists.
It is simply a fact of making in monetarily and energy (as in the battery in the remote) affordable.
Years ago, I was in a hotel. If you used the buttons on the TV the remote would beep. Haven't seen it since but would love one.
Already been invented.
