Antifog bathroom mirror | |||||||||||||||||
As someone who takes a hot shower every morning I found I have to take a hair dryer to my bathroom mirror to clear it for shaving and combing my hair. It would be nice to have embedded heating lines behind the reflecting surfaces much as on the defrosting of rear windows in cars so I can get my bathroom mirror clear after a shower with the flip of a switch.

Two easy solutions here.
1.) Increase the size of the exhaust fan to prevent moisture from getting to the critical point.
2.) Easier still. . . Rain-X makes an anti-fog solution that I have been using for years. Works really well. Just apply it about once a month.
I appreciate the advice. I live (1) in an apartment house and cannot modify the basic equipment (2) Rain-X is not available in Helsinki. But my idea is also not available in Finland.
They do make these and they are available in Europe here. I don't know if they will ship to Helsinki, but I'd imagine they would.
Thanks. It's nice to know it wasn't just a wacky idea.
I remember a shaving mirror a number of years ago. It attached between the shower head & pipe. Some of the water was diverted through channels behind the glass.
