No More Floppy Drive Headers | |||||||||||||||||
I guess for legacy systems some are still forced to use floppy disks, but why are we still using the old, ugly, and bulky floppy connectors? They're still on the newest motherboards even though almost nobody uses them and there are USB floppy drives that make the old connector completely unnecessary. Power supply makers wised up. They don't put floppy drive power connectors on power supplies anymore (they make adapters anyway). Stop pandering to the technological slackers. Get the floppy drive header off motherboards and make an SATA floppy drive if people start complaining.

You'll regret it if you need 12 volts for something, for example an I/O card.
Also, USB doesn't do much power--like 60 milliamps. Lot's of hardware can't run on that little power.
