This idea is that on the main menu of your phone or an application of your phone is a built in thermometer. From wherever you are you would be able to pull out your phone and see the exact tempurature of where you are at. Not sure how exactly this would work but thought it was a cool idea

This can be done, but the person's body heat will make the measurement inaccurate.
Cellphone batteries get hot when you use them, which would also throw it off.
still, it's an interesting idea. Perhaps the camera could be used to take a thermal photo and see the temperature of nearby objects.
