The pages on WhyNot show a vote count next to the title of each submitted idea. I think it would be better to replace the vote count with a comment count. This will simply show how many comments have been posted in response to each idea. That way, you can tell if there are any new comments on your ideas by simply remembering how may comments there were the last time you checked. This would probably be more informative in general, being that most ideas seem to get more comments than votes.
