The Torta in Fast Food | |||||||||||||||||
Perhaps some of you are familiar with a Mexican food item called the Torta. It is basically like a Mexican Po-boy/hambuger with the same stuff that would be in a burrito or taco. I don't see any reason why this is not available at fast food Mexican places. It is amazing. Further more, why not free chips at these fast food places? The restaurants offer them! How dare they charge for such a thing! I'll tip. I will tip at Taco bell if they give me some complimentary chips. The Torta.

What kind of bread does the torta use? Fast food joints would rather not have add another item to their list of stocked ingredients. If they provide free chips, they'll have to increase prices to cover the cost. Just because you would be willing to tip doesn't mean everyone else would.
Also, the reason traditional mexican restaurants give out chips and salsa is to give you something to keep you busy while you're waiting for your meal to be cooked. Fast food restaurants don't make you wait long enough to make that necessary.
Yeah, good point. I was just venting. The torta uses bread like a sub sandwich or a jumbo hamburger bun.
