Wireless mic for your home PC | |||||||||||||||||
Make a wireless Microphone that is hooked up to your computer - mainly for recording around the house when you aren't there. You could hide the mic and the computer could start recording when a sound is made and stop after 10 seconds of silence. perhaps you could listen live elsewhere via the internet.

I assume this is for security, not for spying on your family.
I just don't see it. If I want to know what my wife and kids are doing when I'm not home, I can just ask them. Or install monitering software on the computer.
I think listening to hours of ambient noise would even be a bad way to spy on people.
Sound files are quite large and require actual listening to. Just not an effective way even to catch criminals.
