Although I have no huge enthusiasm for either major party I seriously question the effectiveness of casting a ballot for inconsequential and powerless splinter groups. I agree that some sort of challenge for the major parties is healthy but perhaps there are more effective outputs for political participation than merely a passive vote to an area that holds no real promise.
