finger print door opener | |||||||||||||||||
ever lost your keys well it would be awesome to open your door and start your car with no key but just your finger. you could have a finger print reader to open your car door and start it and even program more than one ID of finger. and for security ever time u use it after your done a little wiper would go across the reader and eject a soapy liquid so ur finger print is no longer there and it would re-use the water so theres no waste of water.

We use sound-wave based fingerprint readers (that see the 3D of a print) to allow people into our ports today, but having been myself involved with the design of the system, I can tell you that it's large, complex and heavy and expensive.

the .jpg fingerprint readers can mostly be fooled with a photo of the finger. I don't know what you hope to accomplish
Also, it becomes a problem adding people to the database--you'll need to have some kind of system manager with a password or a physical key, etc, so that may compromise the system and decrease utility. Also, if the car had a weak battery, you couldn't even open the door without a scan? I don't think that would fly.
I don't think your wiper and soapy liquid are required--the oils left from a fingerprint doesn't really scan. Possibly they could be used to recreate a photo to fool the machine, but instead, you can use a soundwave machine that actually sees the 3D. But I just spent $2000 on that...
