Game Day Spray on Wax Logos | |||||||||||||||||
Many people like supporting their team by painting their car window. Why not have a service that would use a small robot to spray a full color hot wax image on your car doors, hood or trunk. The robot could use an ink-jet type spray head and hot wax colors. The logo could be washed off at any spray car wash. The robot could be programmed to follow a laser depth gauge so the robot would not have to “Know” what the door, hood or trunk exact shape is but would be able to follow the laser 3D image. The same idea could be used by advertisers, politicians and others that want to get their product or name out in the public. The hot wax image may not be as sharp as a peal and stick logo that many advertisers are using but it would be faster, cheaper and more easily changed. One obvious disadvantage might be hot summer days in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona or Southern California. An easy solution might be a higher temperature wax or just not have the product available in areas of high temperatures during the summer. A portable robot could even be taken to a school or collage campus before the “BIG” game.

Or use a water soluable ink.
When I was a kid, at Christmas time my mother would bring out the stencils and glass wax and we'd decorate the windows. With some logo stencils and a little food coloring, you could proudly display your favorite team allegiance on the surface of your choice. (And no need for robots, pooping or otherwise...)
I suspect it wouldn't be as cheap and quick as those plastic static cling stickers. Still, the novelty of it might draw buyers.
I don't think any car wash could wash that off... maybe if they made it out of dyed soap instead
