Create a company which gives out frequent dining card. Any one can get the card for free. It would have a unique ID number. So.. if the customer shows this card in restaurant after the meal than he gets points for what he has paid. If he/she pay 50$ he might earn 50 points. He/she can use this card in all the restaurants which participate in the frequent dining program. Every restaurant should be able to give some deals. For example.. if a customer eats 5 times than he gets to eat free for 6th time. The deals for each restaurant may vary. The frequent dining card would have all the details about the points which customer has earned in each restaurant. The deal would be posted to him/her by email. Following are the advantages to customer:1. He/she gets great deals for eating in their favourite restaurants.2. Customer does not have to keep track of how many times he has eaten in a restaurant.. it is kept track by the card.
Following are the advantages to Restaurant:1. The restaurant can keep track of the repetative customers.. and possible send newsletters, email about any new menu items etc.

Where I live we have diner's cards. You pay $20 for the card and in return the participating establishments give you a discount each time you dine, typically 10% to 20%. It doesn't take long to recoup your $20. What it does is generate business. And put more cars in the parking lot, which to a restaurant is as good of advertising as they can get.
