Next-of-Kin in Phone Directory | |||||||||||||||||
I watched an otherwise rubbish Airport program. A man had a medical emergancy, and the paramedics used his mobile (cell) phone to call someone he knew to get details of his medical history. This got me thinking. Now in both my mobiles I have entries in block capitals for HOME, WIFE and NEXT OF KIN (which has my sister's number). It cost me nothing, and could save a crew valuable minutes one day that could even save my life.

An idea similar to this already exist. It's called "ICE-ing" your cell phone. You put your emergency contacts, next of kin, etc. under the title "ICE" (which stands for "In case (of) emergency") in your phones contacts.
